The Barovier & Toso Story
Barovier & Toso is one of the world’s oldest family businesses. Founded in 1295 as Barovier in Murano, Italy, the company grew to prominence in the 1400s with the work of Angelo Barovier, whose glass objects can be seen in museums today. Renamed Barovier & Toso in 1942, the company forges Venetian mouth blown crystal with master artisans using the same age-old tradition passed down over generations. This technique has allowed for unique and sustainable designs different from any other crystal on the market.
Key Features
The Domo Nevada Wall Sconce from Barovier & Toso delights as a smooth stream of light with fluid accents of artisanal glass to match. The sconce’s decorative yet ultra-refined aesthetic speaks to designer Franco Raggi’s architectural and design background. This piece finds a place in tight nooks thanks to its minimal metal backplate. Handcrafted from Venetian crystal, the sconce wows in silhouette with a curvy arm treated to a hanging teardrop accent. A fabric shade on top adds a timeless look through its tapered form. Bright light filters through the shade for ambiance and casts down across the crystal for a gorgeous array of highlights.
